Tower Playground in Denmark
The Tower Playground in Fælledparken is an urban playground where children can learn about the architecture of Copenhagen by playing among five of the city’s most famous towers. The project includes towers such as the Savior Church, City Hall, Circular Tower, Marble Church, and Exchange Tower. Playground elements are incorporated into the tower replica of this famous Copenhagen building, so kids feel like giants climbing the city's roofs.
This park is like a bit of a history lesson because kids don't just play in the tower, they learn more about it. Kids are exploring and playing with rock climbing, rope bridges, slides and other traditional equipment. Bridges and other equipment connect the many towers, so children can move from tower to tower. The outer walls of some towers with built-in climbing grips can also be climbed.
Interesting details are built into many designs. Children can ring the bell at the top of the church tower. The Town Hall tower has a microphone system for public presentations. The round tower has a puzzle. Children can also set electronic traps on the roofs of buildings. A truly interactive, educational and creatively inspiring place.
