Toyota released the world's first mass-produced hybrid electric vehicle, called the Prius, in 1997, making history in the electric car industry. Toyota is currently working to reduce carbon emissions by delivering electric vehicles to the market as a concept of sustainable vehicles. In the future to come, Toyota plans to create roughly 70 electric car types by 2025.
