Volkswagen

Volkswagen is a German vehicle manufacturer best-known for its famous Beetle, which was formed in 1937 by the German Labour Front. In 2016 and 2017, it surpassed Toyota as one of the world's largest automakers in terms of global sales.

The e-up! and the e-Golf are electric vehicles provided by Volkswagen. From 2020 onwards, a completely new generation of fully electric vehicles will be available: the I.D. family. The new Modular electric drive matrix (MEB) will underpin these vehicles, and each of the new I.D. models will have a range comparable to existing petrol models. Volkswagen plans to create 50 electric cars by 2025, making it the world's third-largest EV producer. It sold 64,542 units in the first half of 2020, accounting for 10% of the global market share.
