Trinity College School
Trinity College School (TCS) is a prestigious boarding and day school for roughly 600 students in grades 5 through 12. The School is located on a lovely 100-acre campus in Port Hope, Ontario, about an hour east of Toronto.
The School, which was founded in 1865, maintains a balanced emphasis on academics, service learning, athletics, and the arts - as both a long-held TCS tradition and a rethought, renewed approach to 21st-century education.
Trinity College School provides a comprehensive and rigorous curriculum with the option to specialize in areas of personal interest. TCS education is collaborative, discussion-rich, and writing-intensive. Learning is an active process that promotes heart and mind habits while challenging all students to communicate effectively and think critically and creatively.
Trinity College School is a pleasant collection of buildings and fields located in the little hamlet of Port Hope, about an hour's drive from Toronto. There is plenty of space to stretch out and explore on a campus of this size. Friendships are easy to form on a campus this tiny. And on such a lovely campus, students are happy to call it "home."
Trinity College School has ten Senior School houses, each named after a former distinguished faculty member or philanthropist. Whether a student is a boarding or day student, they are assigned to a house.
The weekend at TCS begins once Saturday sports or other co-curricular responsibilities are completed. Throughout the year, boarding students can participate in various weekend activities such as restaurant or shopping excursions, or they can spend their time catching up on work, relaxing, or exploring Port Hope's historic downtown.
