Try Acupuncture or Acupressure
Traditional Chinese medicine frequently treats nausea and vomiting using acupuncture and acupressure. Thin needles are put into certain body locations during acupuncture. Acupressure employs pressure rather than needles to stimulate the same locations on the body. Both methods activate the nerve cells that provide messages to the spinal cord and brain. These signals may lessen nausea, according to some researchers. For instance, according to two recent assessments, the likelihood of experiencing nausea after surgery is reduced by 28–75% with acupuncture and acupressure. Furthermore, studies reveal that both types have almost no adverse effects and are just as efficient at relieving symptoms as anti-nausea drugs.
Acupressure lessens the degree of nausea and the chance of experiencing it following chemotherapy, according to two further reviews. There is some evidence that acupuncture may lessen morning sickness when pregnant, but additional study is required. The Neiguan acupuncture point, also called P6 or the inner border gate point, was stimulated in the majority of trials that found a benefit. Simply place your thumb between the two prominent tendons, 2-3 finger widths down from your inner wrist, to stimulate this nerve on your own.
