Typica
Arabica Typica is the oldest coffee variety, it is the first coffee variety discovered by humans in the Kaffa region of Ethiopia in the last century that people often tell as the story of a goat herder.
Typica contains a large amount of malic acid – giving it a sour taste like in an apple. This special property, combined with the sweetness for an overall balanced taste, is highly appreciated by coffee connoisseurs.
It is said that Typica is the standard for all quality measures for coffee. For the past two centuries, people have been discussing the good and bad qualities of coffee varieties based on Typica flavor.
Up to now, consumers have abdicated Typica in the position of "queen" as it once held, although this coffee variety is currently high yielding, it has very poor resistance to pests and diseases.
