Umm Suqeim Beach
Umm Suqeim Beach is the place to go if you want Instagram-worthy photos of Dubai's beautiful seven-star ultra-luxury hotel, the Burj Al Arab. This is another wide, flat beach along the coast, directly next to the Burj (which is on its own small peninsula jutting out into the sea).
Except for lifeguard stands and basic facilities, the region is just a beach with limited services (toilets, showers, and changing rooms). A few areas of green lawn-covered picnic areas and playgrounds are available. There is a beach library here, which is unique to Umm Seqeim. There is a lending library of books as well as a relaxing reading space with bean bags. Umm Suqeim is a public beach that is available 24 hours a day. The beach is one of the few in Dubai that is lighted at night and enables swimming at night. The Smart Power lights (which are exclusively powered by solar energy and small windmills) come on at sunset and go out at midnight. After midnight, swimming is prohibited. The beach also has one of Dubai's only surf breaks. The waves aren't huge, but they're there, and you can find other surfers enjoying the water.
