Varadero
This resort city is located peacefully on the Hicacos peninsula, between Cardenas Bay and the Florida Strait, about 140km east of Havana, Cuba, exactly 1.2km2 wide and separated from the State of Cuba by the Kawama Canal. The western part of the peninsula is an airport that specializes in serving the travel needs of Varadero residents and tourists coming to visit and relax here. It is the second most important airport in Cuba after the airport in Havana.
Due to its proximity to Havana, its excellent amenities, and, of course, its stunning scenery, it's no surprise that Varadero is one of the most popular beaches in Cuba.
The beach's brilliant white sand stretches for a considerable 25 kilometers, and the shoreline is lined with restaurants, bars, hotels, and resorts. Loaded in the way of entertainment and activity; Visitors can sign up for anything from dance and yoga classes to fishing and boating. There are also loads of dive sites for scuba diving enthusiasts.
Although quite touristy and can get crowded during peak tourist season, Varadero is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean and worth a visit if you get the chance.
