Versace
Gianni Versace S.r.l., or simply Versace, is an Italian luxury fashion firm and trade brand founded in 1978 by Gianni Versace. Under the Atelier Versace label, the company creates high-end Italian ready-to-wear and accessories, as well as haute couture pieces. Medusa is the inspiration for Versace's logo. Medusa is a legendary goddess whose hair is made up of snakes and who can turn people into stone if they look into her eyes.
Versace is recognized for its inventive designs that include symbolic flamboyant motifs and bright colors while remaining stylish. Furthermore, this Italian designer label manufactured garments from novel materials like metal mesh.
Elizabeth Taylor, Jennifer Lopez, and Princess Diana have all worn Gianni Versace. Donatella Versace, Gianni's sister, became the brand's Creative Director after the founder's sad death.
