Walk Hampton Beach State Park
A 50-acre (20 ha) state park, Hampton Beach State Park is located near Hampton Beach, New Hampshire. It is situated on a peninsula where the Hampton River meets the Atlantic Ocean at the southernmost point of New Hampshire. The western boundary of the park is formed by Ocean Boulevard (New Hampshire Route 1A). A wide beach with lifeguards, a playground, an amphitheater, public information services, public restrooms, a pavilion, a comfort station, and first aid are all available in the park. Swimming, fishing, picnics, and RV camping with full hookups are all permitted activities in the park.
In the summer, Hampton Beach State Park is crowded with visitors, especially on hot, sunny weekends. It costs nothing to stroll along the expansive sandy beach or to have a daylong picnic under an umbrella at this coastal state park. ' Parking is fee-based, so recent visitors advise making reservations in advance at the New Hampshire State Parks website. If you don't, you'll likely have to look for a metered space on a first-come, first-served basis around the city. The storied Hampton Beach Casino, which opened its doors in 1899, is located directly across from the beach. It is one of the best things to do in New Hampshire. This historic strip is brimming with family-friendly arcade games, little amusement rides, food, and souvenir shops. Gambling isn't particularly popular here, but there are a few games of chance. The sole full-service hotel in the vicinity is the oceanfront Ashworth by the Sea, where you can spend the night.
