Wonder Woman
"Wonder Woman" begins on the island of Themyscira, a hidden paradise inhabited by the Amazonian warrior women, created by the gods of Olympus to protect humanity from Ares, the god of war. Diana (played by Gal Gadot), the daughter of Queen Hippolyta (played by Connie Nielsen), grows up among the Amazons, training to become a fierce warrior.
One day, a British spy named Steve Trevor (played by Chris Pine) crash-lands near the island, bringing news of a great war raging in the outside world. Convinced that Ares is responsible for the conflict, Diana leaves her home and accompanies Steve back to London, determined to find and defeat the god of war.
