Wynns Coonawarra Estate
Since the first vineyards were planted by John Riddoch in 1891, Wynns Coonawarra Estate has built a reputation as the Coonawarra region’s preeminent wine producer. As the longest-established vineyards in the region, Wynns’ history is deeply intertwined with Coonawarra. Over the past two decades, Wynns Coonawarra Estate vineyards have been meticulously rejuvenated, resulting in wines that capture the true essence of the region.
Like many of the world’s great wine regions, Coonawarra's climate is cool and marginal. It is South Australia's southernmost wine region, positioned 80 kilometers from the Southern Ocean and cold Antarctic winds.
The vines of Wynns Coonawarra Estate are assured of a long, cool ripening period which builds the intensity of flavors slowly in the grape, creating a balanced acidity. Grape of brands are among Australia's finest for their richness, intensity, flavor, and longevity.
