Yeelen Gallery

Through her paintings, owner Karla Ferguson hopes to communicate the story of her neighborhood, Little Haiti. The Yeelen Gallery's work addresses modern urban society via a variety of media and voices, never shying away from the political or contentious. Michael Sole and James B. Clover, whose "Woke AF" was on show at the gallery during Art Basel Miami Beach 2016, have both visited the 13,000-square-foot space.

Yeelen Gallery, named one of the ten greatest galleries in Miami by New Times, is part of Little Haiti's comeback, with new art and cultural mood spreading over the area. Karla Ferguson, a lawyer turned curator, founded the 10,000+ square foot contemporary art space to serve as an incubator and art space committed to the creation, promotion, and expression of modern urban culture. Throughout the year, the gallery maintains four exhibition spaces and presents a variety of previews, openings, art discussions, and Art Basel events. The gallery's mission is to arrange a program that encourages creative development, to pioneer exhibitions that enrich the intellect, and broadens your understanding of culture.
