Zuhair Murad
Zuhair Murad, a Beirut-based fashion designer, has made a name for himself internationally as well as among Hollywood's biggest stars. Murad's stunning creations have become a favorite at celebrity red carpet events, and many other celebrities have worn them. Murad began drawing when he was three years old, according to his mother. He began drawing fashion pictures when he was ten years old. Murad was approximately fifteen years old when he chose to pursue a profession in fashion design. He was influenced by Christian Dior, Schiaparelli, Balmain, and Balenciaga at the period.
Murad's first client was a friend of his sister's who asked him to design a garment for her engagement party. She was amused by the clothing after it was finished. This was his first victory, and it gave him the confidence to keep going. Murad went to France from Beirut after finishing high school. He enrolled in a fashion design program at a Parisian institute. He made his debut on Roman catwalk platforms in 1999 with his lauded collection, earning him a spot in the Italian almanac.
Murad has showrooms in Beirut and Paris, as well as a boutique on Milan's Rue Borgogna. For him, the nicest part of his job is when his collections are finished and models model them in a runway show. This is when he feels completely relaxed.
