In a mundane area of northern Chelsea known for its knock-off shops, bargain stores, and flower warehouses, the Kimpton Hotel Eventi's opening in the summer of 2010 marked a significant milestone in the area's long and steady march toward hipification. Nowadays, trendy establishments like matcha cafés, beer bars, and boutique fitness studios are located close to fabric shops, jewelry wholesalers, and unremarkable bars. The Kimpton is a great place to stay with a lovely lobby, contemporary, spacious rooms, and helpful, pleasant service. Its location is also great for navigating around the city with seven subway lines only four blocks away.

The 400-square-foot Executive One Bedroom Suite and the 1,685-square-foot Live Suite are the two smallest of Kimpton's six suite sizes. Frette bed linens are used, and the marble bathrooms include rainfall showers. There are toiletries and bathrobes available. Although it is free for Kimpton InTouch members, Wi-Fi has a cost. This large hotel is located in the heart of the Financial District in New York City, two blocks from the World Financial Center and directly across from One World Trade Center and St. Paul's Chapel. Wall Street and the South Street Seaport are both within a 10-minute stroll.

The hotel becomes a base for tourists wishing to explore the sights at night and on weekends when work travelers leave home, though visitors should be aware that some popular destinations in the Financial District can get very busy. Although there aren't many places to eat or go out at night, Tribeca and South Street Seaport are both close by. (It takes around 20 minutes to walk the remaining distance to fashionable SoHo.) Visitors can go over to Battery Park around sunset to observe the sailboats pass past. The Staten Island Ferry offers a free boat ride, giving you the opportunity to get those necessary pictures of Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty without having to wait in line or pay a price. The hotel is close to numerous subway lines allowing quick access to different parts of the city.

The Sofitel's block is quite quiet in comparison to Midtown West's bustling walkways, neon lights, and retail businesses. Along with venerable lodgings like the Algonquin, there are the Harvard Club, Yale Club, Penn Club, and New York Yacht Club. The hotel is perfectly located close to every major rail line and is just about the most connected position in the city, with subway stations at Grand Central, Bryant Park, and Times Square all within walking distance.

The Sofitel's rooms might not be the fanciest or the sexiest, but they are stylish, cozy, and subtle thanks to their marble baths, soft white linen, and maroon accents. Although the hotel's gym is quite well-equipped, it lacks natural light because it is on the ground floor. Four treadmills, two ellipticals, an upright bike, and a reclining bike are among the LifeFitness cardio machines that have individual TV monitors. The service at the Sofitel is exceptional, from the courteous receptionists and multilingual concierges to the housekeepers in charge of the nightly turndown and the personnel providing round-the-clock room service. Unlike at the Four Seasons or Ritz-Carlton, it's not adoring or cloying, but it is quite attentive whether you're wearing a suit or a pair of jeans.

The Gramercy Park Hotel is located on a peaceful section of Lexington Avenue, just before the road enters the exclusive and immaculately kept Gramercy Park. Many of the hotel's rooms include views of Gramercy Park, which is unquestionably the most notable aspect of the area bearing its name. The majority of the homes in Gramercy Park are high-end residences, and there aren't many well-known tourist attractions there. Despite this, Union Square, the city's primary farmers market and a significant subway hub, is only a five-minute walk away. Washington Square and all of Greenwich Village are a short distance away. In front of the hotel, taxis are quite simple to hail, and the doormen are ready to assist. One block to the west is Park Avenue, which offers more stores and services. One block east on Third Avenue, there are many pubs, restaurants, and other nightlife options.

Handsome. Old-world. Bohemian-chic. All of these adjectives can be used to describe the rooms at the Gramercy. All of the rooms are distinctive and feature handcrafted fittings, views of Gramercy Park or the city, hardwood flooring, handmade imported rugs, and views of the park or city. Bathrooms are also fairly distinctive. Although the vanity area is adjacent to the bedroom, French doors allow it to be closed off. There are separate walled-off spaces for the toilet, shower, and bathtub. Particularly beautiful details include the enormous soaking tub, a window, and a tiled seat in the shower.

One of New York's oldest hotels, the Empire Hotel dates back to the middle of the nineteenth century, and its distinctive rooftop neon sign and conventional entry maintain that nostalgia. The hotel's interiors, however, portray a different picture. The spacious, two-story lobby has a bohemian vibe thanks to its leopard and zebra print pillows, heavy bronze drapes, and futuristic chandeliers that mimic crash cymbals. It also has a boho velvet lounge area.

The lobby is frequently used by families, couples, and business visitors during the day. The Empire is known for its nightly partygoers, though. Young residents frequent the hotel's lobby bar, a rooftop bar on the 12th floor, and the private sections near the pool. The hotel has also been known to organize elegant private events. However, the cocktail crowd doesn't keep you up at night because (in part) guests access the rooftop bar through a separate elevator.

With dark yellow walls, sunburst mirrors a la Deco, and coffee-colored embellishments, the guest rooms exude the same sensual, chic charm as the public areas. However, they are only 200 square feet in size and have numerous hidden expenses (hello, Keurig coffee charge).

This makes it a good option for business travelers, particularly for those trying to go to Midtown offices. The rooms are a nice size for NYC and come with a single king, single queen, or two double bed options. Suites can be anything between 400 and 1400 square feet, while Standard Rooms start at 280 to 300 square feet. This is one of Best Business Hotels in NYC. Between Lexington and Third Avenue, on 50th Street, is where you'll find the Kimberly Hotel. The streets in this part of Midtown can be deserted in the evening because it is mostly a 9 to 5 commercial district. Although there aren't as many subway lines in this neighborhood as there are in Union Square or Times Square, it is still possible to get to the East Village, Chelsea, and the West Village by using the neighboring E, M, and 6 lines. At 53rd Street and Lexington Avenue, two blocks away, the E and M provide access to lower Manhattan and Queens. The east side of Manhattan is traversed by the 6 lines, which are located at 51st and Lexington.

The Suite side and the Townhouse side, where the guest rooms are located, are two separate sections of the hotel. In contrast to the Townhouse side, which only had guest rooms updated in 2012, The Suite side underwent a complete renovation that included updating the bathrooms. All of the rooms offer iPod docks, flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, mini-fridges, tea, and coffee-making amenities, touch-screen concierge services, lap-top-sized safes, and Frette linens. The balconies of city-facing apartments on floors ten and upwards also offer breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline, with many offering glimpses of the renowned Chrysler Building. The Holiday Inn is situated in Chelsea in what is frequently referred to as the "Flower District," which is where wholesale florists have their offices but where you won't find any flowers on the streets. It's a quiet neighborhood with main homes (compared with the bustling tourist centers like Times Square, 16 short blocks north). The drawback is that getting any place requires some work. The spine of Manhattan, Broadway, is where the nearest subway lines are located. However, the station is close to the hotel—about five minutes walk—on 28th Street and Broadway. Although the station is somewhat less connected than places like Times Square, which serves as a center for around a dozen lines, you can launch uptown or downtown from here.

Only two feet separate the bed from a workstation in each of the 226 rooms' 175 square feet of space. A realtor may describe the rooms as "cozy," with one of the beds in the Standard Double Room nearly directly next to the window, and plenty of natural light and strategically placed mirrors (including a full-length one) helping to keep the area from feeling cramped. A strangely positioned coffee maker is on the nightstand, on a shelf close to the floor. There was obviously nowhere else to place it. Flat-screen TVs with premium cable (including HBO), iPod docks, and free Wi-Fi with a fast in-room connection are standard in every accommodation. Bathrooms are comparably small.
