Housed in what can only be described as a cross between a cafeteria and a dining hall, Galleria Umberto is a lunch-only, bare-bones, humble little storefront that serves some of the best pizza not just in the Greater Boston area but perhaps all of New England.

Sapporo Ramen draws crowds eager to try its delicious Japanese noodle soup, which comes in at less than $10 for every steaming bowl.

As you might expect, Sapporo Ramen focuses primarily on ramen noodles, which are basically wheat noodles served in a soup with broth, meat, vegetables, soy sauce, miso, and so on. The meat-based broth is cooked at very high heat for about 10 hours with pork bones in it, extracting the collagen from the bones and giving the broth a very rich and creamy flavor.
