  1. G-Dragon continues to be one of the best renowned idols in K-Pop history. His legacy may be traced back to his vast discography and tenure as a superstar since his 2006 debut. From his debut until the present, he has penned a slew of chart-topping songs — in 2012, he was crowned Melon Music's Top Songwriter. Until 2018, he was credited as the author of 172 songs.

Indeed, he wrote the majority of BIGBANG's chart-topping singles, including "Lies," "Day by Day," "Loser," and "BAE BAE." In an interview with Vogue, the popular singer discussed what these songs mean to him now. G-Dragon said that he views all of the songs he composed in his twenties as a type of journal. He based the tunes on his own experiences. If he had not recorded them in songs, he would have forgotten about those occurrences. This is because the man was so busy that he couldn't recall how he spent each day.

G-Dragon would turn back to these tunes over time and reminisce about the good old days. He indicated that he would also utilize it to reflect on how his mentality had changed in the meantime.

    Zico

Zico discussed why he started creating and composing his own music during a 2019 interview. He said that he initially had no intention of creating music. He was entirely focused on his career as a performer.

However, everything shifted when his modest agency came to a grinding halt. BLOCK B needed to make a new record in order to maintain their momentum, but his agency had reached rock bottom and most of their songwriters had gone. Between two abysses, Zico determined that he needed to resurrect his gang with his own hands.

"To be quite honest, I had little ambition to be a producer and write music. However, my agency was struggling at the moment, and most of our songwriters had departed. We couldn't find a track for the band anywhere. We were deliberating on what to do. We needed to have an album immediately. 'Whatever, I'll simply have to do it myself,' I reasoned." Zico remarked. He started writing tunes for BLOCK B and so "NANRINA" was created!

    B.I

B.I. created and wrote iKON's title song, "Love Scenario", which is No. 1 on all music charts for months and has a flawless all kill. Additionally, he penned and composed all 12 songs on their 'Return' CD.

"I worked on the record with a calm heart," B.I said in a recent interview. “I had a great time. It was liberating to be there in the present and unencumbered, since music is a pastime for me, not a job." B.I also contributed to the composition and writing of all the songs for iKON's 2015 debut album, "Welcome Back."

As far as is known, B.I, Teddy, and eight other writers collaborated on BlackPink's "Whistle," although he finally forgot which section of the song he created. And now, fans might assume that B.I's lyrics are the "extraterrestrial" words from BlackPink's "Whistle" - "Hwipalam, uhhh, Hwiparam palam palam". More impressively, these phrases are the most catchy elements of both “Whistle” and “Freedom” - another song penned by B.I.

    Ravi

VIXX‘s Ravi discussed his amazing accomplishments on KBS's Hello Counselor on March 4. He debunked the host's claim that he was one of the highest-paid songwriting idols. Rather than that, Ravi said that he has the most copyrighted songs under his name.

When it came to the specifics of his accomplishment, the rapper was well aware of just how many tracks he had created. "I'm third in terms of copyrighted music tracks. I currently own 126 songs that are copyrighted in my name." He went on to explain how he intends to raise to the number 2 spot after the release of his new record. "With the release of my new CD, I'll own 133 tracks."

Ravi spoke on his song property once again on MBC's Radio Star, saying that G-Dragon owns the most copyrighted songs of any idol (According to the Korea Music Rights Association, the Big Bang front man has 172 songs to his credit).

    Suga

BTS members, particularly Suga, are extremely interested in songwriting. Suga discussed his songwriting approach briefly in BTS's latest "Behind Story" interview.

Suga was questioned during the interview, "What is the most significant aspect of songwriting for you? And where did you find your inspiration for songs? From what kind of circumstances?" Suga then said candidly that he does not make songs because he believes he must, and that he often writes songs out of boredom!

While Suga does compose songs on a deadline, there are instances when he is in the studios and begins composing songs just because he has nowhere else to go. When asked what his priorities are when creating a song, Suga said that he often starts with the rhythm. After creating the rhythm, Suga begins work on the melody and subsequently the lyrics.

  8. Jonghyun is S.M. Entertainment's first performer to have been significantly involved in the writing, planning, and composition of an album. The firm is well-known in the K-Pop market for restricting its musicians' creative authority over their albums' development.

According to Kim Da-hee of the Korea Times, Jonghyun is one of four K-pop composers who have differentiated themselves from the idol industry's mass-produced singers, the others being G-Dragon, Zico, and Jinyoung, through their "extraordinary talent in songwriting, producing, and dancing, as well as other skills that make them prolific musicians." Jonghyun is regarded as having a distinct style in his songs and has been lauded for writing and producing the bulk of his solo singles. According to Insight Korea, he is one of eight idols who appear to be "born to music."

As brilliant as he is, Jonghyun has regrettably passed away. Jonghyun was discovered unconscious in a leased flat studio in Gangnam District on December 18, 2017 at around 18:10 (KST). Earlier, at 16:42, his elder sister called 911 to say that she suspected her brother was attempting suicide. He allegedly sent his sister a series of text messages using the phrase "final farewell."

    CL

CL, who catapulted to popularity in 2008 as the captain and primary rapper of 2NE1, one of the greatest and most renowned K-pop bands of all time, had spent her adolescent years working tirelessly. She'd toured the globe with 2NE1, performing, recording, rehearsing, and making countless media appearances inside the K-pop industrial complex.

CL opted to take a sabbatical after the Olympics for the very first time throughout her life. She told the interviewer through Zoom from her residence in Korea, where she'd finally moored after weeks of traveling from Los Angeles to New York City for the Met Gala (She acknowledged that the journey had left her feeling a little under the weather.)

"So taking some time off was the most difficult thing for me. I had no idea how to accomplish it. In retrospect, I reprogrammed myself and allowed for more levels of viewpoint in life, my experiences, and how I saw myself. That needs time."
