Mercedes-Benz Turk was founded in Istanbul Davutpaşa in 1967 with a 36% stake in Daimler-Benz AG. Mercedes-Benz Türk A. now manufactures buses at its Istanbul Hoşdere Factory and trucks and tow vehicles at its Aksaray Factory for both domestic and foreign markets.

Tüpraş is a Turkish corporation that operates four refineries with a combined capacity of 30 million tons of crude per year. The company's roots can be traced back to İPRAŞ, which was founded by the US Caltex Company (now part of Chevron).
