Erdemir
Erdemir is a Turkish steel production that ranks 43rd among the world's top steel companies and is also active in coal in Turkey. Erdemir, which began production in 1965, has a crude steel production capacity of 8.5 million tons per year (2020 value). It is Turkey's largest iron and steel firm and was the sole manufacturer of flat steel until January 2009. Plates, hot and cold rolled sheet, and tinplate are all manufactured here.
Erdemir sold 7,250 tons of flat-finished products and 1,057 tons of long-finished products in 2019. Erdemir raised its exports by 6% year on year, in keeping with the Group's policy of pursuing expansion in external markets in reaction to the recession in the home market.
