The Seafood Festival in Antigua and Barbuda is a delightful and fascinating celebration that includes music, amazing cuisine, and arts and crafts. The Independence Food Fair is the largest food fair in Antigua and Barbuda which happens during the nation’s annual Independence Celebrations on November 1. Food vendors from around Antigua and Barbuda set up colorful stalls covered with national flags on the outside grounds of the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium to greet those attending the Independence Ceremonial Parade. Food vendors offer local specialties for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, allowing foodies to spend the whole day at the event.

Popular options in the Independence Food Fair include the country’s national cuisines- a savory tomato-based salt-fish and sweet ‘ducana’ (a combination of sweet potato and coconut) or fungee (cornmeal based) and pepperpot, (with spinach, eggplant, and okra), an abundance of seafood from Barbuda island, along with treats like coconut sugar cakes, tamarind stews, fudges, and old-fashioned ice cream.

The two-day event of the Mango Festival has a wide selection of mangoes that will gratify mango enthusiasts. The Mango booths will be fully equipped with a variety of mangoes, mango trees, and the greatest mango goodies manufactured in Antigua and Barbuda, along with jams, pepper sauces, wines, and smoothies, pastries, ice creams, scented candles, and soaps.
