Antigua Carnival
The Antigua Carnival event, which lasts approximately two weeks, is growing bigger and better every year, but it still has the traditional elements: tremendous parades and revelry day and night, street parties, palpable excitement, and water sprayed on everyone.
The Mas Camp, where the procession begins parading on the first Saturday, is a place where the people are hard at work making their gorgeous festival costumes. Beauty pageants, steel bands, children's activities, local concerts, cultural displays, and a variety of other modest celebrations are among the other highlights. The Antigua Carnival is a stunning event of entertainment, excitement, and color that celebrates emancipation most fantastically.
The racing is competitive, and the scenery is breathtaking. Strong trade winds and big ocean swell make the racing fast, challenging but delightful, and there is a large number of international yachts that participate. Throwing in wall-to-wall Caribbean sunshine and a lay-day of unwinding on white sands while dipping your toes in crystal clear seas will help you have the perfect sailing regatta.
