  1. Since 2011, the Leopolis Jazz Fest has been an annual international jazz event hosted in Lviv (Ukraine) in June. The Leopolis Jazz Fest was named one of the most famous festivals in Ukraine and European by The Guardian. Mikhail Fridman, a businessman, co-founder of LetterOne, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Alfa Group, and a native of Lviv, founded the event in 2011. Alfa-Bank (Ukraine) was the festival's main sponsor until 2017, hence the festival was known as Alfa Jazz Fest. The festival was renamed Leopolis Jazz Fest in 2017 to reflect the venue (Leopolis is the Latin name for the city).


    The festival features jam sessions, master seminars, and autograph sessions with international jazz artists in addition to concerts by jazz musicians from throughout the world.


    During the festival's gala concert in Lviv, the "Leopolis Jazz Music Awards" dedicated to Eddie Rosner (formerly "Alfa Jazz Music Awards") are presented.
