  3. The series follows two people as they progress from "simply acquaintances" to "a true partnership". Jin-ah (Son Ye-jin) is a district supervisor in her 30s at Coffee Bay (a genuine Korean business), while Joon-hee (Jung Hae-in) is an animator in his early 30s at Smilegate Entertainment, a video game company. When he returns after working abroad, he reconnects with Jin-ah, who has been close friends with Joon-hee's sister since they were children. The episodes provide an intimate look at how they fall in love, deal with their age disparities (which are considered taboo in some circles), and find the confidence to tell everyone about their relationship.

A secondary plot is around the difficulties that female employees encounter at the firm Jin-ah, where she works, as they attempt to climb the corporate ladder in the face of extreme sexual harassment, maltreatment, discrimination, and career sabotage by their male bosses. A sexist culture that is deemed typical yet unsaid in South Korean corporations.

They divorced two years later. Dong-jin continues to work at the bookshop, while Eun-ho works at a gym. Even still, a year and a half after their divorce, the two still meet for breakfast at their favorite bakery, argue over small matters like a married couple, and celebrate their wedding anniversary with a free meal ticket supplied by the hotel where they married.

As new love partners enter their life, the story is punctuated by either character's internal monologue about their previous and current relationships. All of this makes them wonder if these lingering sensations are love, despite the fact that they are both too terrified to start afresh, and even more afraid to leave the relationship entirely. They are unable to go on because neither is bold enough to address the other about the misunderstanding on the day Eun-ho had a stillborn kid.

  10. Da-eun (Son Ye-jin) has finished graduate school and plans to work as a newspaper writer. Son-man (Kim Kap-soo), her father, tenderly calls to her as "my heart". Da-eun is proud of her father, despite the fact that he does a menial job. Da-eun goes to the cinema with her lover Jae-kyung (Lee Kyu-han) and her friend Bo-ra one day (Jo An). They watch a film based on a true-life unsolved incident in which a boy was stolen and the kidnapper sought a ransom from the parents, but the youngster was subsequently discovered dead.

The only indication the authorities had of the killer's identity was the phone call he made to the parents demanding a ransom. They play the real recorded audio from the phone call at the end of the film. When Da-eun hears the voice, she stops; the man's voice sounds hauntingly similar to her father's, and he also employs the phrase "It Ain't Over 'til It's Over", which her father usually used. When Da-eun returns home, she searches the internet for the crime that occurred nearly 15 years ago. Awash with shock and shame for even suspecting her father, she proceeds to investigate his history with only a few days till the statute of limitations on the unsolved crime expires. As the relationship between father and daughter wrenches apart due to mounting distrust, a man (Im Hyung-joon) from Son-man's past suddenly appears.
