Worthy of one of the most expensive medieval weapons ever, the 17th Century Indian Talwar Blade is Royal's curved European blade that was presented for auction at Sotheby's in 2007 and sold for $717,800 despite its estimated value. It was just 60,000 pounds. It has been enhanced with golden stroke decoration and has also been fitted with lotus flowers depicting the powerful story of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan.
The 17th Century Indian Talwar Blade is also known as the royal blade, it is a slightly curved European blade with overlaid gold decorative markings and an inlaid gold inscription. The beautiful sword is further decorated with poppies and lotus flowers and is believed to have belonged to the 17th-century Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan.
