6. Kumomi
Kumomi Beach is a dive sites located in West Izu in Tokyo. It's a bit far from Tokyo with about 4 hours by train so it's better to stay overnight but still well worth a trip to explore. Because this dive site lies in Kumomi village, which is near a holy Shinto area, Kumomi is regarded as the most beautiful dive site in Japan. It is famous for its unique view of the rocks connected by a rope between two shrines, which reflects a traditional Japanese symbol - a perfect place for those who enjoy the terrain below the water.
With Mount Fuji in the background, this place offers some of the unique cavern-like formations and swim-throughs which can be explored. The most vibrant sea creatures are the stingrays in the sand. Besides, another fascinating thing about this place is that divers can also spot a large group of stingrays there. This is often a place for a weekend trip and also offers some beautiful places to enjoy a fancy dinner.
