AB De Villiers
Abraham Benjamin de Villiers (born February 17, 1984) is a former professional cricketer from South Africa. During his 15-year international career, De Villiers was crowned ICC ODI Player of the Year three times and was selected one of the five Wisden cricketers of the decade at the end of 2019.
AB de Villiers started his international career as a wicket keeper-batsman, but he has mostly featured as a batsman in recent years. He batted at a variety of positions across the batting order, but mostly in the middle. De Villiers is noted for a variety of unorthodox shots, notably behind the wicket-keeper, and is regarded as one of the most inventive and destructive batsman of the current era, as well as one of the greatest of all time. In 2004, he made his international debut in a Test match against England, and in early 2005, he played his first One Day International (ODI). In 2006, he made his Twenty20 International debut. In both Test and ODI cricket, he scored over 8,000 runs and is one of the few batsman to have a batting average of over fifty in both formats. He is an offensive player in limited overs cricket. In just 31 balls, he set the record for the fastest ODI century.
