Shaun Pollock
Shaun Maclean Pollock OIS (born 16 July 1973) is a former South African cricket captain and cricket commentator. He is largely recognized as one of the all-time great fast bowlers and allrounders. Pollock, a true bowling all-rounder, forged a bowling tandem with Allan Donald for many years. He captained the South African cricket team from 2000 to 2003, as well as playing for the Africa XI, World XI, Dolphins, and Warwickshire. In 2003, he was named Wisden Cricketer of the Year.
After his 303rd One Day International on 3 February, he announced his retirement from all forms of international cricket on 11 January 2008. Pollock now works as a cricket analyst for SuperSport in South Africa.
He was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame in November 2021.
