Agnes School
In Brussels, Agnes School is an international Catholic school providing immersion education for preschool/pre-primary, primary, and secondary schools. With an enrollment of around 350 students, Agnes School offers bilingual (pre-primary and prior) and trilingual (secondary) education through immersion in either French/English or French/Dutch.
Children can join Agnes School for 20 months starting September 1st. The school offers a variety of activities such as psychomotricity, musical awakening, group work, graphomotricity, and logic games to enhance learning in four key areas: personal, social, and emotional development; communication and language; logical thinking; and physical development. From the first year in pre-primary, children receive fully bilingual French-English or French-Dutch education daily.
In primary school, the curriculum extends beyond official requirements. Students receive comprehensive intellectual, artistic, sporting, musical, and moral instruction, crucial for their personal growth. Upon completing primary school, most students take two examinations, choosing from the CEB (French-speaking education), the Cambridge certificate, and inter-diocesan tests (Flemish community). The school boasts a high success rate, typically reaching 100% in these exams.
The secondary school at Agnes focuses on achieving academic and human excellence. A trilingual curriculum is offered, and in secondary 2 and 4, students take the CE1D and CE2D exams, facilitating transitions within the Belgian education system. After six years, the ultimate goal is the International Baccalaureate (IB) from Geneva.
Agnes School provides a diverse range of over 15 extracurricular activities during lunch breaks and after school. Some activities are conducted in foreign languages (NL or EN), including football, judo, dance, psychomotor skills, music, singing, creative workshops, and more.
