Al-Baath University
Al-Baath University, founded in 1979, is one of Syria's most prestigious institutions. According to late President Hafez Al-Presidential Assad's Decree No. 44, it was originally established in Homs. The city is in an ideal location as a crossroads, serving as a bustling link between north and south, the beautiful western coast, and the arid interior. A strategic position like this provides excellent access to natural resource welfare and promotes chemical, petroleum, and textile businesses. Not to mention the well-known sites and tourist attractions that draw travelers from all over the globe, such as Palmyra, Krak Des Chevaliers, and the beautiful countryside. Because of the city's historical significance, the University must excel in a variety of fields ranging from humanities to technical sciences to medical.
Al-Baath University makes real attempts to address the cultural and economic demands of the local community by producing highly competent graduates. It is also dedicated to fostering scientific research in all areas of national significance, including economic, social, humanistic, and technical sustainability. In reality, it helps to define the human experience and contributes to global culture.
