University of Aleppo
The University of Aleppo is a prestigious governmental scientific institution with a long history that operates under the Syrian Arab Republic's educational, cultural, and service policies. The institution aims to develop effective and creative national scientific cadres by creating an environment that allows for the continuous development of educational, research, and educational programs in order to keep up with global scientific and cultural development and meet the needs of a renewed society in order to achieve comprehensive and sustainable human development as well as enable national, regional, and global competition.
With the arrival of Independence Day in 1946, Aleppo's Faculty of Engineering became associated with the Syrian University in Damascus. When Aleppo University was founded in 1958, this institution constituted the cornerstone of the university.
The University's focus has been on completing the scientific construction by establishing new colleges, institutes, and centers, as well as preparing the necessary scientific and technical frameworks for building an advanced Arab society and equipping it with the most up-to-date scientific laboratories.
The University is attempting to improve its performance in teaching, scientific research, and community service by assessing its level of performance, adopting educational quality standards, translating its objectives into performance indicators, and beginning with an analysis of their inputs, programs, and activities with the goal of reviewing and correcting them.
New forms of parallel, open, and private university education have been created to provide more opportunities for higher education for young people who want to achieve university education, creating a competitive environment between different types of education to improve universities for the better.
Aleppo University now contains 27 colleges, 12 technical institutions, 7 open education programs, a central library, a radio station, and 6 educational hospitals. Through its graduates, research, departments, hospitals, lectures, symposiums, and conferences, the University of Aleppo contributes to the advancement of science and technology. Through its Arab students, it also contributes to the application of science and technology in Arab nations. All of its departments are dispatched to various developed nations to conduct scientific research, as well as to provide training and training courses to faculty members and to keep them up to date on the newest advancements in all disciplines of science and technology.
The University of Aleppo is constantly working to strengthen its scientific and cultural ties with a large number of Arab and foreign universities, and is closely associated with many Arab and international organizations in the fields of scientific research, information exchange, professors, and participation in a variety of local scientific conferences, seminars, and workshops.
