Al Mamzar Beach Park
In the city's northeastern part, Al Mamzar Beach Park combines beach and green space. The region is made up of the tip of a short peninsula that juts out into the sea and faces Sharjah. The majority of visitors come here to enjoy the beaches.
There are five sandy strips: four on the beach park's eastern side and one on the western side. Between them is a large (55,000-meter) stretch of manicured lawn surrounded by palm trees, with a system of winding paths for cycling, running, and strolling. In the garden area, there are designated spaces for barbecues as well as plenty of space for picnics. If you haven't packed your own food, there are several food kiosks and a few cafés within the park. A small entrance fee is charged. The city bus is the most convenient mean of public transportation.
