  1. This large park, encompassing 51 hectares, in downtown Dubai is a favorite weekend destination for local families once the searing heat of the summer months has dissipated.


    On the park's southern side, there's a dinosaur park (equipped with animatronic dinosaur models and a small museum devoted to dinosaurs) and a glowing garden (lit up with dazzling lights, creating a fairy-tale garden after dark), both of which will keep the kids delighted. Children's playground equipment may be found in a number of different designated sites around the park. Local families picnic on the spacious lawns, and local runners utilize Zabeel Park's jogging track, but the park's primary draw for city tourists is the Dubai Frame in the northeastern corner. This picture-frame-shaped observation tower takes you to a 150-meter-high sky deck with panoramic views of the city and galleries that take you through Dubai's history. There is a small entry fee to the park. Al Jafiliya is the closest metro station.

  2. Safa Park is a beautiful green space two blocks inland from Jumeirah Beach, with Dubai Creek winding through the park's lawns and manicured plants. Safa Park, one of the city's earliest designated public park spaces, was established in 1975. It used to be outside the city borders, but its current location is in central Dubai.


    Safa Park is known for its excellent team sports facilities, including tennis, volleyball, and basketball courts, as well as a running track and the ability to rent bikes to cycle the park's trails. The park's artificial lake provides boating facilities, including pedalo boats that may be rented. There are many areas throughout the park with playground equipment for families with small children.   5. Burj Park is a welcome sliver of green among Dubai's towering steel and glass buildings, with the Dubai Mall, the Burj Khalifa, and the Dubai Opera House as its neighbors.


    The greatest views of the fountain shown on Burj Lake may be seen here. Dubai's performing fountain is the world's tallest, with displays that reach up to 50 stories high. Burj Park is also a popular spot for viewing and photographing the surrounding skyscrapers.   6. Dubai Miracle Garden is the world's biggest natural flower garden. Over 150 million blossoming flowers span an area of 72,000 square meters in this massive floral garden. The flower displays span from meticulously planted flower beds to a complete floral village and castle, as well as strange 3D creations and a massive floral A380 airplane (the world's largest floral sculpture).


    A Disney Avenue section for smaller children features oversized floral and topiary Disney figures. The park also provides on-site entertainment for kids on a regular basis. You cannot bring outside food or drink into the parking area, but there are 30 venues for refreshments, ranging from restaurants to more simple cafés, food kiosks, and shops. The park is open from November to April each year, and there is a fee to enter (though children under three have free admission). There is no metro station near the park because it is in Al Barsha South, but you may get out at the Mall of the Emirates metro station and catch a bus to Dubai Miracle Garden from there.

  7. Al Barsha Pond Park is a manicured green park based on an artificial lake in Dubai's southern districts, inland from Dubai Marina and The Palms Jumeirah. The park is 52 acres in size, with manicured garden strips and plenty of trees to provide shade for the 1.5-kilometer-long-running track around the lake.


    The park's main draw for local exercisers is the rubber-surfaced running track, which is popular with walkers, skaters, joggers, and runners. There is a separate cycling path circuit around the lake, and the bike rental office in Al Barsha Pond Park hires out bicycles, e-bikes, and go-karts. If you want to get out onto the lake rather than walk around it, you may rent pedalos. Three playground spaces have been built up on-site for local families with little kids. Within the park, there are a few cafés that provide refreshments. The park is free to enter. The local city bus is the most convenient means of public transportation.

  8. In the city's northeastern part, Al Mamzar Beach Park combines beach and green space. The region is made up of the tip of a short peninsula that juts out into the sea and faces Sharjah. The majority of visitors come here to enjoy the beaches.


    There are five sandy strips: four on the beach park's eastern side and one on the western side. Between them is a large (55,000-meter) stretch of manicured lawn surrounded by palm trees, with a system of winding paths for cycling, running, and strolling.   10. This small park, located across from Umm Suqeim Beach, is a popular destination for people who come to run or walk on the park's jogging circuit, which is overlooked by the Burj Al Arab hotel in the distance.


    This is a wonderful option for evening exercise for local joggers and runners, as the jogging circuit is brightly lit after dark, making it especially popular with the district's solo female runners. Despite its small size, the park is well-equipped for families, with a large and well-kept children's playground and picnic tables for parties that wish to spend more time here. Around lunchtime, many families visiting the nearby Umm Suqeim Beach stop by. There is a café within the park if you don't want to bring your own meals. Umm Suqeim Park does not charge an entry fee. The city bus is the most convenient mean of public transportation.
