Algeciras (Spain)
Port of Algeciras, located in Cadiz Province, Andalusia, is a commercial, passenger, and fishing port in the province of Cadiz in the autonomous region of Andalusia, Spain. It is primarily a transshipment port, located near the Strait of Gibraltar and one of the busiest transshipment hubs in the world due to its major east-west routes. It consists of numerous coastal features scattered throughout the Gulf of Gibraltar. Only the city of Algeciras and La Linea de la Concepcion overlook the bay, but the rest of the coast has port facilities and is also part of the municipalities of San Roque and Los Barrios.
Algeciras Bay is operated by the Port Authority of Tarifa. Being one of the fastest-growing ports in the top 10, Algeciras Port is a shipping hub connecting Asia, America, Africa and Europe.
