Port of Piraeus is the largest port in Greece and one of the largest ports in Europe and the main port of Athens, Greece. The port of Piraeus has experienced stratospheric growth since its acquisition by China Oceanic Shipping Company (COSCO) in 2009.
Port of Piraeus is located just 10 km from the center of Athens, providing easy access to the northeast of the Mediterranean Sea. The port also has a unique geographic location where Europe, Asia and Africa meet. It is the fastest-growing port on the list, with TEU growing 15% in 2019.
