Anthropology of Current World Issues (offered by UQx)
Using the anthropological lens, this course will help you better comprehend the world around you. You'll discover how anthropology as a subject may provide fresh insights into current global concerns such as indigeneity, migration, and material culture. When thinking about these problems, the course will help you to think about your own viewpoint, how you see the world, and how we all deal with diversity and similarity on a daily basis. Some will conduct interviews with well-known anthropologists, while others will accompany them across the world and into their fields to learn more about the challenges, the people they deal with, and their role in the world.
