Apex Legends
Apex Legends is a free-to-play battle royale-hero shooter game published by Electronic Arts and developed by Respawn Entertainment. It was published in February 2019 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, in March 2021 for Nintendo Switch, and in March 2022 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Apex Legends Mobile, a mobile version of the game tailored specifically for touchscreens, was also revealed and will be launched on Android and iOS on May 17, 2022. Except for the above mobile devices, the game enables cross-platform play.
Apex Legends takes place in the same science fiction setting as Respawn Entertainment's Titanfall franchise, with some Titanfall characters appearing as minor characters or playable Legends. Work on the game began in late 2016, but the project remained a closely guarded secret until its release. The game's release in 2019 was unexpected since it had been anticipated that Respawn Entertainment was working on a third chapter to the Titanfall franchise, the studio's previous big game, at the time. Critics complimented Apex Legends for its gameplay, advancement system, and integration of aspects from numerous genres.
