Grand Theft Auto V

Grand Theft Auto V is a 2013 action-adventure game published by Rockstar Games and developed by Rockstar North. Following 2008's Grand Theft Auto IV, it is the seventh main installment in the Grand Theft Auto series and the fifteenth overall. The single-player story follows three protagonists—retired bank robber Michael De Santa, street gangster Franklin Clinton, and drug dealer and gunrunner Trevor Philips—as they attempt to commit heists while under pressure from a corrupt government agency and powerful criminals in the fictional state of San Andreas, which is based on Southern California. The open-world concept allows players to freely traverse the broad countryside of San Andreas and the fictitious metropolis of Los Santos, which is modeled on Los Angeles.

The game may be played in either third-person or first-person mode, and the world can be explored on foot or by car. Throughout single-player, players control the three main characters and may swap between them both inside and outside of missions. The robbery scenes are essential to the plot, and many missions incorporate shooting and driving action. A "wanted" system determines the aggressiveness with which law enforcement responds to criminals. The game's online multiplayer option, Grand Theft Auto Online, allows up to 30 people to participate in a variety of cooperative and competitive game scenarios.
