Assassin's Creed Odyssey
Assassin's Creed Odyssey is an action role-playing video game released in 2018 by Ubisoft Quebec. It is the eleventh main chapter in the Assassin's Creed series and the sequel to Assassin's Creed Origins, which was released in 2017. The game, like its predecessor, has a wide-open environment and incorporates many aspects of the role-playing genre, with a focus on battle and exploration rather than stealth. Odyssey features naval action similar to earlier entries in the series. The setting of the game, while fictitious, is based on real-world events.
The game's development began immediately after the release of Assassin's Creed Syndicate. Odyssey, like Origins before it, aided the shift of Assassin's Creed into a series of action role-playing games by integrating player choice mechanisms. In comparison to earlier games in the series, Odyssey has a greater emphasis on historical mythology and a lesser emphasis on the battle between the Assassins and Templars, which is the key narrative aspect in the majority of Assassin's Creed titles. Throughout the creation of the game, the team was influenced by other recent RPG titles such as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and Fallout. The Flight composed the game's soundtrack.
