Ardastra Gardens & Wildlife Conservation Park
Ardastra Gardens & Wildlife Conservation Park is a must-see for people who enjoy learning about the other regions' flora and animals. The zoo, conservation park, and gardens are all combined to provide visitors with a unique opportunity to learn about nature by getting up and personal with it. This zoo houses the largest number of native Bahamian species, including the flamingo family, as well as beautiful gardens with vivid fruit trees and other attractions, making it one of the top locations to visit in the Bahamas.
The Zoo is built on four acres of tropical gardens and is well known as the home of the marching flamingos. Visitors are entertained by the flamingos marching in the formation in response to directions.
The Ardastra Gardens & Wildlife Conservation Park specializes in the conservation of Caribbean wildlife, including the endangered Bahama parrot and various species of iguanas, and is a fun place to bring the whole family. The petting zoo and hand-feeding the friendly rainbow lorikeets are popular with kids. If you want to go away from the beach, this is a terrific activity to do in Nassau with kids.
