Arlington, Texas
Each year, Arlington, Texas hosts one of the largest Christmas markets in the state, the Texas Christkindlmarkt. By preserving the customs of the German heritage while incorporating cultural features from Central and South America, Arlington's Christkindl Market gives the traditional European Christmas market a Southwest twist.
In addition to a wide selection of handcrafted and imported gifts, including elusive Käthe Wohlfahrt Christmas decorations, shoppers can also find a variety of food vendors selling seasonal treats. Great food may be found if you stroll through the Texas Christmas Fair. Choose between traditional bratwurst and sauerkraut or kartoffelpuffer, potato pancakes with applesauce. The stalls are full of snacks like German chocolates and hot roasted nuts. This event is great for families because it includes activities like a petting zoo, puppet shows, and stations for kids' crafts, as well as visits from Santa and the Christkindl Angel. Live music and the beautiful lantern parade will be enjoyed by the whole family. Even latecomers can take part in the celebrations because the market is open from the middle of November until the first weekend in January.
