Every December, Leavenworth celebrates with over half a million lights, music & entertainment, holiday characters for your photo ops, carolers, kids’ activities, roasting chestnuts, Santa photos and so much more!
This lovely town celebrates Christmas like no other, with a month-long festival that includes caroling, lighting ceremonies, and fun activities for people of all ages. For more than 20 years, the Christkindlmarkt in Leavenworth has been the main attraction. It is hosted both indoors, in the Leavenworth Festhalle, and outdoors, in Front Street Park, so visitors may buy in all weather. A lantern parade starts off the market's first weekend following Thanksgiving, and it runs through Christmas Eve. The market offers fantastic things and presents, live entertainment, and kid-friendly creative projects. All od the Christmas lights are up around town which gives Leavenworth an unbelievable glow to get you in the Christmas spirit!
