Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
Named one of the top holiday markets in the world by Travel + Leisure and one of the top holiday markets in North America by USA TODAY’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice competition, the Bethlehem Christmas market is known for its unique holiday shopping experience featuring thousands of unique handmade gifts. Bethlehem, also known as "Christmas City", is home to two magnificent Christmas markets.
The most authentic experience may be found at the open-air Christmas City Village in the city center, which includes vendors in beautiful wooden manger-like structures reminiscent of European markets. Visitors can find warm beverages and treats, as well as presents made locally and internationally. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in December, this market is open for business. Christkindlmarkt is another well-known festival in Bethlehem and is an indoor market with a variety of vendors. Shoppers should be advised that there is an admission fee for this event; the Christmas market is open on Fridays through Sundays during the last two weeks of November and on Thursday through Sunday in December until Christmas.
