Art of Living Ashram
The Living Art Ashram is much more than a yoga retreat in India. The headquarters of the world-famous community of yogis, Art of Living, founded by spiritual guru Guru Ravi Shankar, are in Bangalore. It is a 65-acre campus set on the Panchagiri Hills on the city's outskirts.
Organic farms, a lake, mountainside walks, and gardens surround the resort, ensuring that all participants are completely comfortable and at peace.
The Art of Living Ashram is a 65-acre vast green land at the top of Panchagiri Hills, Bangalore, with organic farms throughout the area. It is the ideal destination for anyone who wishes to take a few days or even hours away from the monotonous city life.
Sudarshan Kriya, "Happiness" programs, and Sri Sri Yoga & Meditation are entry-level programs that offer courses depending on a visitor's knowledge of yoga/meditation. Sri Sri Yoga is a five-day, ten-hour workshop that is especially beneficial for beginners. This differs from Vipassana in that the participant is urged to focus on a mantra, and by doing so, the mind and nervous system are brought to a state of relaxation.
Guests can also thoroughly experience the ashram by visiting its amenities, such as the Ayurveda Hospital, Radha Kunj (a lovely park), Sumeru Mantap, and the Goshala for a unique experience of caring for cows.
