The history of Austevoll Seafood ASA (AUSS) dates back to Austevoll, Norway. The island's heritage, where fishing has historically been a major industry, has created a culture of competitiveness, business savvy and hard work. Their beginnings can be traced back to Austevoll Havfiske AS, a company founded in 1981 by Helge Mogster, Ole Rasmus Mogster and their father. Over the past decade, AUSS has acquired a significant number of companies that complement its existing business areas.

Today, AUSS includes ownership and operation of fishing boats, fishmeal plants, canning plants, freezing plants, salmon farming, as well as marketing and sales. The Group has main locations in Norway, the United Kingdom, Peru and Chile.
