Nippon Suisan Kaisha Ltd., commonly known as Nissui, is a seafood manufacturing company based in Japan. The company, founded in 1911, is a commercial fishing and seafood purchasing corporation. Its goal is “Establish a global supply chain of marine products”.
The company is the second largest in Japan after Maruha Nichiro Holdings and owns Gorton's, an American frozen seafood company, among others. The company is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the Nikkei 225 stock index. Its main competitors are Maruha Nichiro and Kyokuyo Co., Ltd.
