Mowi ASA, formerly Marine Harvest ASA (until 1 January 2019), is a Norwegian seafood company with operations in several countries around the world. The company's main interest is in fish farming, mainly salmon, operations which focus on Norway, Scotland, Canada, Faroe Islands, Ireland and Chile. The group has a market share of 25 to 30% of the global salmon and trout market, making it the world's largest player in this field. Mowi also owns a 'value-added processing' unit, which processes and distributes a wide range of aquatic products, and several smaller divisions.
