Bad Gasteiner Waterfall
Bad Gasteiner waterfall is located at a height of more than 340 meters in the Austrian Alps. Many painters and poets have drawn inspiration from this waterfall since it perfectly blends nature and humanity and runs through some scenic areas of the Bad Gastein hamlet. The Gasteiner Ache stream flows for a total of more than 340 meters, producing a wonderfully relaxing effect of ionized and saturated air-water spray.
Highly suggested for a wide range of people, from those who experience stress and anxiety to those who have breathing or pressure issues. A stone bridge that was constructed around 1840 is located above this waterfall, and the Wasserfallweg, a trail that descends from the falls and continues to Badbruck, is just a few steps away.
For those who want to experience life in the center of nature, this trail is a great option. On the other side, a power plant that was built in the early 900s and shut down in 1996 can be found at the base of the waterfall; ever since it has been designated as a local historical landmark. Additionally, given that it is now a very suggestive café for visitors to the Bad Gasteiner Wasserfall region.
