Stuibenfall
Stuibenfall is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Austria. It is situated in the tztal, south of the settlement. Just outside of Umhausen, there are signs pointing to a sizable parking area that is easy to find. The entrance is free, however parking is not free.
In 25 to 30 minutes, you can walk from the parking lot to the first viewpoint, which is close to the Stuibenfall. The easy walk is good for families with young children and winds through a forest. A walkway ascends to three further platforms/viewpoints from the lower platform before leading to a suspension bridge at the summit of the Stuibenfall. From here, you can drop to Platform 5 on the Stuibenfall's north side.
When you get back to the car, turn left toward Niederthai until you get to a viewpoint where you can see the Stuibenfall from above. This is for folks who just can't get enough of the Stuibenfall. From May through October, the Stuibenfall is illuminated until midnight every Wednesday. Children will love the organized lantern walks to the Stuibenfall during this time. Children under 12 are admitted free of charge.
