Baguio
Baguio, sometimes known as the "Summer Capital of the Philippines," was initially created as an American getaway in the early 20th century. Baguio, which is 5,200 feet above sea level, has a climate that is noticeably milder than most other regions of the nation, making it a popular vacation destination for both foreigners and locals.
The town is a lovely destination for horseback riding and trekking because it is dotted with gorgeous parks, pine trees, and historic buildings. Numerous secondhand stores, or "ukay-ukay," can be found along Session Road, and the downtown market sells artisan goods, making it a great place to go shopping.
Baguio has long been referred to as a "green city" due to the numerous pine trees that cover the most of its areas and the abundant grassland that surrounds it. Since it is the hub of many types of commerce, the city's downtown lacks many of these. However, there are still some spots of green, especially in Burnham Park, which continues to serve as a "breathing space" in the middle of downtown.
