Basco
Basco, the capital of the Philippine municipality of Batanes, resembles more a piece of the European countryside with its cobblestone homes, jagged coastline cliffs, and rolling hills than it does the Philippine countryside. The charming Basco Lighthouse, which is about 0.7 miles north of the town, provides stunning views of the coastline.
You can take a leisurely stroll around Basco's picturesque, flower-filled alleyways or use it as a great starting point for visiting the Batanes Islands. The adjacent Mount Iraya, a 4,977-foot dormant volcano that can be reached in three hours of hiking from Basco, is also a wonderful place to start climbs from.
By now, everyone is aware of how lovely Batanes is, with its sprawling vegetation, iridescent lake, and charming stone homes. The northernmost province may be entered from its capital. The famous lighthouse with the same name may be found in Basco, a town that combines both history and natural beauty. In addition, it has forts, beaches, and beautiful, undulating hills, as well as tunnels that the Japanese used during World War II.
